Pray for Disciples of Jesus in Nigeria

This week we want to pray for Christians in Nigeria.  While there are a significant number of Christians in Nigeria (about 45% of the population is professing Christian), the Church in Nigeria has faced a significant amount of persecution, and continues to face more persecution on a regular basis.

This week, let’s pray for our brothers and sisters who are facing violence and ostracization for their commitment to Jesus.

Let’s also pray for disciples in Nigeria to have Christ’s love for their Muslims neighbors. Pray that their love would shine in the midst of the darkness that they face.

Finally, let’s pray that disciples in Nigeria would not live in fear. Pray that they would experience Holy Spirit’s peace in the midst of their challenges, and pray for protection for them.
