Pray for Uyghur Disciples of Jesus

According to JoshuaProject.net, less than 0.01% of the Uyghur people are Christians. But is that a true picture? A Uyghur pastor, living in Istanbul, says that there are over 500,000 Uyghur Christians in the Xinjiang region alone. He said that in 2009 persecution jumped up to new levels so reports from the region tended to stay local and not get out. When quizzed where he got the number he said that there is a network of churches that is entirely run by locals, each church pays the head office a fee based on numbers of baptized believers. Last year’s fee was for over 500,000 people!

Let’s praise the Lord for what he is doing!

Pray that this emerging revival would continue to multiply.

Pray that it would move out of the province of Xinjiang and into the surrounding countries.
