Pray for Qatar

Qatar is a tiny country, jutting out of Saudi Arabia on a peninsula. Grabbing the attention from around the world, Qatar is currently hosting the World Cup. Many laws are being loosened to accommodate the global event, and some people may go in hopes to share the Gospel. Unfortunately, there are still strict laws concerning proselytism by the Islamic State. Proselytism is forbidden and even displays of a cross are outlawed. Nevertheless, with such a global event, it is undoubted that locals will have more opportunities for interactions Christians than usual.

• Let’s pray for boldness and discernment for Christians and outreach groups at the event. May there be God appointments and opportunities to speak openly about Christ.
• Pray that Qataris who see or meet with those groups will be blessed by their presence.
• Pray that Christians around the world to have a heightened awareness and burden for Qatar and all Muslims to receive the Gospel
• Compassion and prayer instead of judgement for Muslims
