This small landlocked country in West Africa, whose area is roughly ¼ the size of BC, is inhabited by 20 million people. The population is 11% evangelicals and 55% Muslim. It is made up of 80 ethnic groups; 27 of which are unreached (5.3 million people). Famine, drought, disease, corruption, and the threat of Islamic extremism has contributed to Burkina Faso being one of the poorest and least developed countries in the world.

Prayer:

Ask the Lord to give the Leader Ibrahim Traoré and the government wisdom, discernment, and
integrity:

• Pray that these would not just be political speeches, but a genuine commitment to rebuild peace.
• That he would not open door for militant groups to have greater footholds in Burkina.
• That money for aid and resettlement would get to the 1.4 million refugees and not be lost to corruption.
