Pray for the Budding Azeri Church

The Azeri Church in both Iran and Azerbaijan is still young and just starting. It faces challenge and persecution from society at large and from the government. Both Azerbaijan and Iran make it difficult and costly for the Church to grow and to witness openly.

Prayer:

• Pray for strength and boldness for the Azeri believers, to withstand and spread under government pressure and surveillance. Pray for creative evangelism and discipleship strategies for the Azeri Church and that local leaders who are effective disciple-makers full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom would rise up to grow the Church.
• Pray for provision for the Church in these countries as they are facing increased inflation and other financial tensions, that God would increase their faith by providing for all of their needs and allowing them to mutliply and send out workers.
• Pray for the Azeri Church to have a vision for reaching those outside their immediate social, cultural and even national sphere.
