Prayer for Iran

I met an Iranian pastor a few years ago who had been imprisoned and tortured by his government. I asked him how to pray for his country. He told me to pray for the government. I said I would pray that they would change. He said “don’t do that”, I was shocked, then he added “the government is so bad that it is causing 1000s of people to come to Jesus, pray that the government would carry on for the sake of the gospel.” This thought sounds crazy, but I want you to pray this simple prayer for Iran, God’s will be done, may nothing stand in the way of what God wants to accomplish, even if it is counter to what I think should happen. Amen
