Pray For: Forgiveness

One passage of Scripture that often is shocking to Muslims is Luke 15:11-32 – The Story of the Prodigal Son.

The biggest surprise to Muslims when they read it tends to be the Father’s unconditional love and forgiveness in spite of the son’s sins. That’s something unheard of in Muslim cultures.

I once asked a military translator in the Middle East what they thought would need to happen for peace to exists in the Middle East. They answered, “The local cultures would need to learn Forgiveness; If Tribes and Nations could learn to forgive, we would see peace.”

Let’s pray that the Forgiveness of the Father would be made known to Muslims around the world; that they would learn to forgive, and they’d be willing to receive the Father’s Forgiveness for themselves.
