Pray for Palestine

We want to remember Palestine this month, and pray for healing and peace in their communities. In recent months tensions between Palestine and Israel ran very high because of the ongoing evictions of Palestinians from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah Palestinian district in East Jerusalem by Israeli settlers. Between May 6-17 this year, it is estimated that 12 Israelis and more than 232 Palestinians died (including 60 children) from rockets, airstrikes and civil unrest.

Let’s pray together for the Palestinian people.

This month we will be praying for a just settlement of the land issue, an end to the cycle of violence and a peaceful future for both Palestinians and Jews.

* Note: We understand this conversation is exceptionally complex and nuanced.  We want to emphasize that our praying for Palestine this month does not negate Jesus’ love for Jews and Israelis. He indeed loves them greatly. However, the focus of the 10 Year Fast is to pray for Jesus to move in the Muslim world, and so, our focus this month is to pray for the Muslim majority Palestine,  which Jesus also loves dearly and wants to move within.
