Pray for Migrant Workers in Qatar

The largest part of the population in Qatar are the expatriate workers, most of which are manual labourers. Many come from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, or the Philippines. Unfortunately, the work conditions can include long hours, limited time off, dangerously hot work environments, or withheld wages. Despite these challenges, they often come, because the work conditions are often not better than that of their home countries, and the wages allow them to send money back home. Qatar has made positive reforms to support the migrant workers, but some of them still need better implementation. Let us pray for justice to be upheld in the midst of easy exploitation, and for God to move throughout the migrant worker community. With so many away from their homes, this could be an amazing opportunity for them to encounter the Lord Jesus for the first time!

• Let’s pray for continued wisdom and the upholding of the rights of these migrant workers both among the government and the employers
• Protection from exploitation and from discrimination, especially among the Christian migrant workers
• For Daniels to arise among the workers, who will boldly proclaim the Gospel with word and deed
• Miracles, signs and wonders in Jesus’ name!
