Prayer for Lebanon

The economy of Lebanon has been experiencing a large-scale multi-dimensional crisis since 2019, including a banking collapse, a liquidity crisis and a sovereign default. The Spring 2021 Lebanon Economic Monitor found that Lebanon’s economic and financial crisis ranks among the worst economic crises globally since the mid-nineteenth century. Luke 4:18 says ‘“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.’ Please pray that the dreadful economic collapse would turn around, that poverty would end here. Pray also that as these people, who have been thrust into poverty, call out to God that he would hear their cries and fill their hearts.
